The Uptown Girls costume designer had Brittany Murphy wear skirts or dresses throughout the film in lieu of pants because skirts and dresses are more feminine. This movie (as awful as it is) caught me at a time in my life where I was attempting to find my fashion niche. I took a lot of inspiration from all of the different bright colors and styles she used. She was a cute actress but her voice makes me want to punch babies. The fashion style in this film is not hers, but she wore it well.
