These might be the most fabulous shoes I have ever seen. EVER.

And FINALLY, the absolute JEM of the collection. I would buy these in a minute.

TADA!!!! Sweet Jesus, take me home.

On a side note, I saw Sex and the City 2 last night. The movie was fairly terrible, the dialogue was subpar, the women are old and wrinkly (I mean seriously, Botox PLEASE)… but the fashion was of course amazing. Halston, Versace, Louboutin, Dior. Beautiful. Check out these gorgeous Louboutin’s Carrie wears with the newspaper dress:

If you know anything about me, you know that I love Vivienne Westwood enormously. Seriously. I idolize the woman. She is (GASP) on a higher level than Betsey Johnson in my book. She is probably perfect. I bet the woman has never sinned. These shoes are my favorite thing in the whole wide world:

Annnnyway. Back to topic. VW’s London and Paris runway shows this year were stellar.

God, how do you not just ADORE the woman? Seriously. But not really digging the models looking like men. The textures, the prints, the tulle, oh my! I couldn’t love it more. And I especially love the crowns. I really really want one now. VW could sell me anything. Good thing I can’t afford most of her pieces.

I miss my hair being that color, I wish I had taken photos of it.

I AM SO EXCITED. These past 12 months have marked Target collaborations with Rodarte, John Paul Gaultier, Erin Fetherston, Liberty of London, and talks of Alexander McQueen (see here). Sonia Rykiel debuted at H&M, as did Jimmy Choo. Vera Wang has a line at Kohl’s. Michael Kor’s shoes can be found in Dillard’s right next to the Jessica Simpson shoes. I am very patiently waiting on a Betsey Johnson collection for Target or H&M or SOMEWHERE! Come on Betsey, join the bandwagon!

Betsey recently stated in an interview recently that she wants to have a line with a lesser expensive store. I certainly hope she delivers on this. Other designers that I would LOVE to see in a department store: Elie Saab, Miu Miu (duh, who wouldn’t), Patricia Field, Tarina Tarantino (I know it isn’t clothes, but still), Balenciaga shoes, Dior (no doubt), Proenza Schouler, Elizabeth and James, and this is where I am going to stop myself.

I would like to say that I want ALL of the upper-end designers to do collections for department type stores because fashion should be shared and embraced. I don’t think this is actually the case. If you were to waltz into Target and see an Oscar de la Renta dress on the rack with some Cheeto stains on it from some bratty ass wipe child, would that not cheapen the brand for you? It would probably feel similar to going to Hobby Lobby and looking at the shrink wrapped Monet posters. You KNOW Monet did not have that in mind when he was creating his masterpieces. That being said, I really feel like Prada, de la Renta, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Chanel, Commes des Garcons, Armani, Givenchy, etc. need to stay on the high end market.

Okay so here is Bar Refaeli on the runway.

I love the floral print. But to be honest, its weird to see someone on the runway that does not look like a clothes hanger. I don’t know how I feel about this.

I am typically a fan of giant skirts of any kind, but I don’t like this paired with the sweater. It is entirely overwhelming. The model is being swallowed.

Very cute, but very prom/wedding dress-y.

Love the train on this.

This blazer is super cute. I am not a fan of the high wasted skirts that make the models look incredibly hippy tough.

Who doesn’t love Lara Stone??

Again with the huge models. And BOOBS? Above an A cup? On a runway?

The Miu Miu Ready-to-Wear line for fall 2010 is quite lovely. Miuccia Prada’s Miu Miu is one of my favorite lines ever (Also, Miuccia designs for Prada and has a PhD in Political Science… WORD). Some of my favorite pieces from the Fall 2010 RTW collection:

One of my favorite parts about the show was the makeup. I recently purchased a palatte from Sugarpill (the “Burning Heart” palatte) and have been wanting to experiment with the bold colors, and the Miu Miu show inspired me to go all out.

This is an up-close look at the Alexander McQueen line. I love the Botticelli prints and especially the shoes. As always, McQueen did not disappoint me on the shoes.My favorite pair are the ones at 1:20. They aren’t quite the armadillo shoes from the Spring Summer 2010 collection, but I love their opulence and granduer.

Lee McQueen's last collection

Gucci announced a few weeks ago that the Alexander McQueen label would live on without its designer, Lee McQueen. Today his final collection was posted. It is rumored that Gareth Pugh will be taking over as head designer of Alexander McQueen. Here is my favorite piece from the collection (full collection here).

The Oscars are not as popular as they once were. I honestly don’t care much for the Oscars. I do love the fashion though. This year was no exception. Below are my favorites of the night.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab. This is Look 1 from Saab’s 2010 Spring line. McAdams’s look is my favorite of the night.

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Couture Spring 2010. She has taken a LOT of heat for this dress but I greatly applaud her. I absolutely adore EVERYTHING about this gown. Saldana’s gown is my second favorite of the evening.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Couture Spring 2010. You may recall this dress from my earlier blog about the very ethereal Chanel Couture show. She didn’t seem very comfortable in the dress and I don’t think it compliments her very well. Also, she was pulling at the strap ALL NIGHT. Even when she was presenting. I loved the line immensely but she just does not pull it off well.

Amanda Seyfried and Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive. I LOVED Armani on Lady Gaga at the Grammys.

But JLo and Amanda’s dresses seem to be the safe choice of this line. After a while the gowns seem quite dull. Sidenote- I never noticed this before, but is GaGa wearing Nina Ricci impossible shoes?

Honorable mention of the evening goes to Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier. This custom gown served her very well. She actually looks like a lady!
